About

Hollistic MusicWorks is the record label and creative conduit of Brian Lynch – multiple Grammy® Award winning trumpeter, composer, arranger, bandleader, and educator. Since its inception in 2010, HMW has been “quietly assembling an incredible catalogue” (jazzweekly.com) through hosting Lynch’s own recording projects as well as other artists deserving of respect and recognition. Notable HMW releases by Brian include The Omni-American Book Club, Grammy® Award winner for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album. the Unsung Heroes series of recordings, recipient of a 5 star masterpiece rating in Downbeat magazine, and the Grammy® nominated Madera Latino – A Latin Jazz Interpretation On The Music Of Woody Shaw recording, voted Record Of The Year by the Jazz Journalists Association. HMW’s releases by other artists include the critically acclaimed Naptown Legacy by the late, legendary drummer ‘Killer’ Ray Appleton, Tone Twister by brilliant pianist/composer Rob Schneiderman. HMW’s Mentor Series, focusing on emerging artists personally mentored by Lynch, has released a series of debut discs by promising young trumpeters, including Jared Hall’s Hallways, Alec Aldred’s Momentarily Temporarily, and the upcoming release by Jason Charos, the featured trumpeter with superstar vocalist Samara Joy’s band.

Along with its production and distribution of original sound recordings, Hollistic MusicWorks also makes available for sale the written compositions and arrangements of Lynch and other musicians, as well as educational materials by Lynch and other artist/educators in various media formats.
